FitTogether

Dual-audience fitness social app — community for enthusiasts, client tools for trainers and gym owners.

The problem

Fitness enthusiasts lack a dedicated social space, while trainers and gym owners need simple tools to manage clients and class schedules alongside community features.

Context

FitTogether served two audiences in one product: fitness enthusiasts wanting community and activity, and trainers/gym owners needing client management and scheduling. Growth had stalled—the product was trying to serve both groups without a clear navigation or value proposition for either.

led a full product overhaul — researching trainers, gym managers, and enthusiasts, then redesigning social feeds, B2B scheduling tools, and dual-audience navigation between consumer community and professional workflows.

Thinking

Interviewed both sides of the marketplace before touching UI. Mapped where social features created value for enthusiasts and where operational tools reduced friction for professionals. Redesigned information architecture to separate—but connect—consumer community and business workflow surfaces, then validated through iterative prototyping.

Dual-audience IA — explicit navigation between community and business tools instead of one cluttered home experience.
Research before visual redesign — the 200× signup gain came from structural product changes, not a new color palette.
B2B tools as first-class — gym owners and trainers got dedicated workflows, not bolt-on settings pages.
Web + mobile parity — enhanced web app experience for gym managers who plan on desktop.

What we delivered

Social profiles and activity feeds tailored to fitness communities
Client management and scheduling tools for trainers and gym owners
Dual-audience navigation between consumer and business features

Outcome

200× signup increase after restructuring dual-audience IA and B2B workflows — with an improved web experience for gym managers and clearer value for fitness communities.
